When a customer (“you”) purchases something from Mary Agrotechnologies Inc. (“we”, “us” and “our”) website, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, contact data (address, email address, phone number), user name, password and credit or debit card number.

With your permission, we may send you emails about our Products, new products and other updates for email marketing purposes.

When you contact our customer support, we may use your personal information and/or collect further information to address your inquiry or resolve any issue that you bring to our attention or may independently arise.

We will not use your personal information for any additional or secondary uses without your consent.

We will protect your personal information at all times and will use it only in connection with your use of this website.

SECTION 2 - CONSENT

How do we get your consent?

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only and you agree to our Privacy Policy.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

How do you withdraw your consent?

SECTION 3 - DISCLOSURE

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so, if you violate our Privacy Policy or Terms of Service, or to protect our rights, property, safety or that of our employees or customers.

We may disclose your personal information to third party service providers that we engage to assist us in providing the Products to you. No third party service provider will have any independent right to access or use your personal information outside the scope of providing our Products unless you have permitted them to do so.

We may disclose information and data obtained through tracking technologies and cookies to third party service providers and use their services to: recognize your device and provide you with a personalized experience on our website; measure traffic to our website; administer and improve our website; analyze our advertizing and marketing campaigns and help us identify and reach potential customers; and detect and address any problems when they arise.

We will not sell your personal information but we may transfer and disclose your personal information to a purchaser or successor as part of a sale, merger, consolidation or other corporate reorganization so that they may continue to sell the Products to you. Any such party will have the right to continue to use your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

SECTION 4 - SHOPIFY

Our website is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our Products to you.

Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment:

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our website and its service providers.

SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Once you leave our website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

Our website may provide links to other websites or resources over which we have no control. When you click on links on our website, they may direct you away from our website. We are providing these links to you only as a convenience and we are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites. Your use of third party websites is subject to their privacy policies and terms and conditions and we encourage you to read them.

SECTION 6 - SECURITY

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards. We cannot ensure or warrant the absolute security or confidentiality of any information transmitted to us through your use of our website.

SECTION 7 - TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES AND COOKIES

When you browse our website, we receive some limited information about your connection to the Internet, including your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address and type of browser or mobile device information. We may log and use this information to analyze the data for trends and statistics. This information may be disclosed in the aggregate but it will not contain any of your personal information.

Cookies are small items of data that websites store in your browser which contain information the website can use to track and organize the pages you have visited. Cookies are used on most websites and do not save personal information. You may decline cookies by configuring your web browser accordingly, but this may lead to reduced website functionality or may disable you from using the website.

_session_id, unique token, sessional, Allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc).

_shopify_visit, no data held, Persistent for 30 minutes from the last visit, Used by our website provider’s internal stats tracker to record the number of visits

_shopify_uniq, no data held, expires midnight (relative to the visitor) of the next day, Counts the number of visits to a store by a single customer.

cart, unique token, persistent for 2 weeks, Stores information about the contents of your cart.

storefront_digest, unique token, indefinite If the shop has a password, this is used to determine if the current visitor has access.

SECTION 8 - AGE OF CONSENT

By using this website, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence.

This website is not intended for children under the age of 16 and we do not target our Products to or knowingly collect any personal information from anyone under the age of 16. We recognize the privacy of children and if we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 16, we will delete it immediately.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it. You agree to our revised Privacy Policy by continuing to use this website after any changes are posted.
